In the 2014 Assembly Election, Bidesh Singh again won from Panki seat, this time on a Congress ticket. He received 41,175 votes. His closest opponent was Kushwaha Shashi Bhushan Mehta, an independent candidate, who received 39,180 votes.
In the 2009 Assembly Elections, Bidesh Singh won from Panki but as an independent candidate. He received 38,458 votes. His closest opponent was Madhu Singh who contested n a ticket from JD(U) and received 18,240 votes.
For the 2019 elections, BJP has fielded Kushwaha Shashi Bhushan Mehta, Congress has fielded Devendra Kumar Singh, and CPI has fielded Puranchand Saw. There are total 15 candidates contesting the assembly elections from Panki.
