Kailash Satyarthi Children's Foundation (KSCF) along with NDTV has launched a pan-India campaign on creating a 'Child Marriage Free India'. The primary objective is to reduce child marriages by 10% from the current level of 23.3% by end of the campaign in 2025. The goal is to actively involve 50,000 women leaders to end child marriage and protect 30 million girls who are at a high risk of getting married off before the legal age.
Kushalta Ke Kadam, an initiative by NDTV and USHA, aims at empowering women from rural India and encourages them to become entrepreneurs by taking up sewing and training others in their respective communities. Since 2011, USHA Silai Campaign has trained more than 10 lakh rural women within ten years, with over 29,800 Silai schools, spanning over 18,085 villages across India.
Millions of animals suffer inhuman treatment as a result of illegal trade and poaching, reckless breeding, farm agriculture and lab experiments. But financial support for animal welfare causes is less than 1% of the amount that comes in for human causes. The India Animal Fund Freedom For All campaign envisions a world free of animal harm and exploitation which prioritises ending the suffering of all sentient beings independent of species.
