About Sheohar

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Rama Devi was elected from Sheohar in Bihar on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. She received 3,72,506 votes. Her closest opponent was Mohammed Anwarul Haque from RJD who received 2,36,267 votes. Rama Devi won the constituency by a margin of 1,36,239 votes.

In 2009 general elections Sheohar parliamentary constituency was won by Rama Devi of BJP. In 2004 general elections Sheohar seat was won by Sitaram Singh of RJD and the runner up was Mohammed Anwarul Haque of BJP.

Sheohar parliamentary constituency consists of six Vidhan Sabha seats these are Madhuban, Chiraia, Dhaka, Sheohar, Riga and Belsand.

In the 2019 general elections National Democratic Alliance has fielded BJP's Rama Devi and her rivals are Mukesh Kumar Jha of BSP, Syed Faisal Ali of RJD and Shamim Alam of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
