About Purvi Champaran

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Radha Mohan Singh was elected from Purvi Champaran in Bihar on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. He received 4,00,452 votes. His closest opponent was Binod Kumar Srivastava from RJD who received 2,08,289 votes. Radha Mohan Singh won the constituency by a margin of 1,92,163 votes.

In 2009 general elections Purvi Champaran constituency was won by BJP's Radha Mohan Singh. Purvi Champaran constituency came into existence in 2008 as a part of the implementation of delimitation of parliamentary constituencies based on the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted in 2002.
 
Purvi Champaran parliamentary constituency consists of six Vidhan Sabha seats these are Harsidhi, Govindganj, Kesaria, Kalyanpur, Pipra and Motihari.

In the 2019 general elections National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has fielded BJP's Radha Mohan Singh, Rashtriya Lok Samta Party's candidate is Aakash Kumar Singh and Communist Party of India (CPI) has fielded Prabhakar Jaiswal.
