About Madhubani

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Hukm Deo Narayan Yadav was elected from Madhubani in Bihar on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. He received 3,58,040 votes. His closest opponent was Abdul Bari Siddiqui from Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) who received 3,37,505 votes. Hukm Deo Narayan Yadav won the constituency by a margin of 20,535 votes.

In 2009 general elections Madhubani constituency was won by BJP's Hukm Deo Narayan Yadav. In 2004 general elections Madhubani parliamentary seat was won by Congress' Dr Shakeel Ahmed and the runner up was Hukm Deo Narayan Yadav.

Madhubani parliamentary constituency consists of six Vidhan Sabha seats these are Harlakhi, Benipatti, Bisfi, Madhubani, Keoti and Jale.

Voting for Madhubani seat was concluded in the fifth phase of elections on May 6.

In the 2019 general elections National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has fielded BJP's Ashok Kumar Yadav and his rivals are Anand Kumar Jha of Akhil Bhartiya Mithila Party, Mohammed Khalif Ansari of Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party and Dhaneshwar Mahto of Bhartiya Mitra Party.
