The Dhule Lok Sabha constituency went to polls on April 29 in the fourth phase of 2019 general election. The constituency comprises six Vidhan Sabha segments—Dhule Rural, Dhule City, Sindkheda, Malegaon Central, Malegaon Outer and Baglan.
28 candidates are in fray for the Dhule Lok Sabha constituency seat.
BJP forte’ Dhule constituency will see the incumbent MP Dr. Subhash Ramrao Bhamre as a key contender in the 17th Lok Sabha polls. Dr Bhamre is representing the Dhule constituency in the parliament and is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). M.S. (General Surgery and Super Specialization-Onco-Surgeon), Dr Bhamre, will contest for the Dhule seat against 27 other candidate.
BJP had retained the Dhule seat for sixth consecutive term after defeating Congress party in 2014. The party had won the seat by a margin of 130723 votes. Amrishbhai Rasiklal Patel was the Congress candidate in 2014 election.
This time Congress is fielding Kunalbaba Rohidas Patil for the 2019 general election. Congress had represented the Dhule constituency in the Parliament in 1962, 1967, 1971, 1977, 1980, 1984, 1989 and 1991.
A total of 28 contestants, there are 14 candidates who have filed their nomination as independent candidates.
Bahujan Samaj Party has nominated Aparanti Sanjay Yashwant as its MP candidate from Dhule constituency.
