About Satna

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Ganesh Singh was elected from Satna in Madhya Pradesh on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. He received 3,75,288 votes. His closest opponent was Ajay Singh Rahul Bhaiyya from the Congress who received 3,66,600 votes. Ganesh Singh won the constituency by a margin of 8,688 votes.

 

In the 2009 general elections, the Satna seat was won by Ganesh Singh of the BJP. In the 2004 general elections, the Khajuraho parliamentary seat was won by Ganesh Singh of the BJP and his runner up was Rajendra Kumar Singh of the Congress.

 

The Satna parliamentary constituency consists of seven Vidhan Sabha seats: Chitrakoot, Raigaon, Satna, Nagod, Maihar, Amarpatan and Rampur-Baghelan.

In the 2019 general elections, the BJP fielded Ganesh Singh, the Congress party's candidate is Rajaram Tripathi and the BSP has fielded Acche Lal Kushwaha.
