About Rajgarh

The Rajgarh Lok Sabha constituency consists of Chachoura, Raghogarh, Narsinghgarh, Biaora, Rajgarh, Khilchipur, Sarangpur and Susner assembly segments. Under this constituency the Sarangpur assembly seat falls under the scheduled caste category. 

The constituency went to polls on May 12 in the sixth phase of 2019 general elections. The poll results will be released on May 23.

BJP's Rodmal Nagar is the sitting MP from this constituency. In 2014 he defeated Amlabe Narayan Singh, the Congress nominated candidate in this seat by a margin of 228737. He is a member of the Standing Committee on Defence and Committee on Welfare of Other Backward Classes. He was also a member of the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Standing Committee on Water Resources.

This time the lok sabha elections will have Mona Sultani, who was the Congress nominated candidate from this constituency along with BJP's Rodmal Nagar. They are among the 11 candidates who are in fray for the seat, of which are four independent candidates.

The General Elections of 2014 saw a total voter turnout of 1,578,748.
