Alok KumarINDThe Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency consists of Berasia, Bhopal Uttar, Narela, Bhopal Dakshin-Paschim, Bhopal Madhya, Govindpura, Huzur and Sehore assembly segments. Under this constituency, the Berasia assembly seat falls under the scheduled caste category.
The constituency went to polls on May 12 in the sixth phase of 2019 general elections. The poll results will be released on May 23.
BJP's Alok Sanjar is the sitting MP from this constituency. In 2014 he defeated PC Sharma or Prakash Mangilal Sharma, the INC nominated candidate in this seat by a margin of 370696. He is a member of the Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare, Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Standing Committee on Urban Development and Committee on Subordinate Legislation.
This time the lok sabha elections will have Divijaya Singh, who was the Congress nominated candidate from this constituency along with BJP's Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and BSP's Madho Singh Ahirwar . They are among the 30 candidates who are in fray for the seat, of which are 11 independent candidates.
