About Ratlam

In the Ratlam constituency, there are nine candidates out of which two are independent. Kantilal Bhuria from INC, Guman Singh Damor from BJP and Madhu Singh Patel (Chouhan) from BSP are the key candidates who are contesting for the 2019 Lok Sabha Election.

 In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Dileepsingh Bhuria was elected from Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. He won the Ratlam seat with 5,45,980 votes by a margin of 1,08,457 votes defeating Kantilal Bhuria of the Indian National Congress, who received 4,37,523 votes.

In 2009, INC candidate Kantilal Bhuria won the elections with 3,08,923 votes defeating BJP's candidate Dileepsingh Bhuria who received 2,51,255 votes. The overall margin between the two candidates was 57,668 votes.

There are eight assembly seats under the Ratlam constituency which includes only Ratlam city. While this Lok Sabha seat is reserved for scheduled tribe category includes Alirajpur, Jobat, Jhabua, Thandla, Petlawad, Ratlam Rural and Sailana assembly.
