About Khandwa

In the Khandwa constituency, there are total eleven candidates in which three are independent. From the Indian National Congress Arun Subhash Chandra Yadav is the candidate who is contesting for the 2019 elections. The other key constants are Dayaram Korku from the BSP and Nandkumar Singh Chouhan from BJP.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Nandkumar Singh Chouhan was elected from Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. He won the Khandwa seat with 7,17,357 votes by a margin of 2,59,714 votes defeating Arun Subhashchandra Yadav of the Indian National Congress, who received 4,57,643 votes.

In 2009, INC candidate Arun Subhashchandra Yadav won the elections with 3,94,241 votes defeating BJP's candidate Nandkumar Singh Chauhan Nandu Bhaiya who received 3,45,160 votes. In 2019, voting was conducted in the seventh phase on May 19 in Ratlam. The Lok Sabha 2019 results will be announced on May 23.votes. The overall margin between the two candidates was 49,081 votes.

There are eight assembly seats under the Khandwa constituency which includes Mandhata, Burhanpur and Badwah. While this Lok Sabha seat is reserved for scheduled tribe and scheduled caste category which includes Bagali, Pandhana, Nepanagar and Bikhangaon assembly is reserved for candidates belonging to scheduled tribe category and Khandwa for the scheduled caste category.
