About Damoh

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Prahalad Singh Patel was elected from Damoh in Madhya Pradesh on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. He received 5,13,079 votes. His closest opponent was Choudhary Mahendra Pratap Singh from the Congress who received 2,99,780 votes. Prahalad Singh Patel won the constituency by a margin of 2,13,299 votes.

 

In the 2009 general elections, the Damoh seat was won by Shivraj Bhaiya of the BJP. In the 2004 general elections, the Damoh parliamentary seat was won by Chandrabhan Bhaiya of the BJP and his runner up was Tilak Singh Lodhi of the Congress.

 

The Damoh parliamentary constituency consists of eight Vidhan Sabha seats: Deori, Rehli, Banda, Malhara, Pathariya, Damoh, Jabera and Hatta.

In the 2019 general elections, the BJP fielded Prahalad Singh Patel, the Congress party's candidate is Pratap Singh and the BSP has fielded Jittu Khare Badal.
