About Mandsour

In the Mandsour constituency there are total thirteen candidates out of which six are independent. Prabhulal Meghwal from BSP, Meenakshi Natarajan from INC and Sudheer Gupta from BJP are among the key candidates contesting for Lok Sabha Election. 

The Mandsour Lok Sabha constituency consists of eight assembly segments. These are Jaora, Mandsour, Suwasra, Garoth, Manasa, Neemuch and Jawad. While this Lok Sabha seat is reserved for scheduled caste category, Malhargarh assembly is the only reserved for candidates belonging to scheduled caste category.

The Mandsour constituency is one of the 29 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Mandsour Lok Sabha constituency went to polls in the seventh phase were held on May 19. The poll results will be released on May 23.

BJP candidate Sudhir Gupta is the sitting MP from the seat. He is the member of the standing committee on water resources and also the ministry of railways.

In 2014 he had defeated INC candidates Meenakshi Natrajan with an overall margin of 3,94,686 votes.

In 2014 General elections, the polling percentage was 71.41 %.

BJP's Sudhir Gupta received 6,98,335 votes and INC candidate Meenakshi Natarajan received 3,94,686 votes.

In 2009, INC's candidate Meenakshi Natrajan defeated BJP candidate Dr Laxminarayan Pandey with a overall margin of 30,819 votes.
