In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Nagendra Singh was elected from Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. He received 4,74,966 votes. His closest opponent was Raja Pateria from Congress who received 2,27,476 votes. Nagendra Singh won the constituency by a margin of 2,47,490 votes.
In the 2009 general elections, the Khajuraho seat was won by Jeetendra Singh Bundela of the BJP. In the 2004 general elections, the Khajuraho parliamentary seat was won by Ramkrishna Kushmariya of the BJP and his runner up was Satyavrat Chaturvedi of the Congress.
The Khajuraho parliamentary constituency consists of eight Vidhan Sabha seats: Niwari, Jatara, Khragapur, Tikamgarh, Bijawar, Chhatarpur, Maharajpur and Chandla.
Voting for the Damoh seat was concluded in the fifth phase of elections on May 6.
In the 2019 general elections, the BJP fielded VD Sharma and the Congress party's candidate is Maharani Kavita Singh Natiraja.
