Police change plans to foil rescue of Kobad Ghandhy
NDTV Correspondent, Tuesday April 13, 2010, New Delhi

Information that Naxals would try and rescue Maoist leader Kobad Ghandhy, led to a change of plan on Tuesday for the police.

Kobad Gandhy was to be produced in a court in Midnapore in West Bengal.

The police were taking him on a train to Kolkata, but as they were approaching Allahabad, they were told that Maoists may try to hijack the train. The cops then got off the train and returned to Tihar.
