2 swine flu deaths in Hyderabad, Andhra's first
NDTV Correspondent, Wednesday September 2, 2009, Hyderabad

There have been two swine flu deaths in Hyderabad. These are the first deaths in Andhra Pradesh, which reported India's first H1N1 case on May 16 this year.

Both victims are young men, aged 28 and 30. One of them died at the Apollo Hospital and the other at the AP Chest Hospital.

Details are awaited.

The District Medical Health Office will release a medical bulletin on the cause of death. The report is expected to explain whether it is the increased dampness in the last couple of days that has made matters worse or whether a more virulent strain is emerging.
