With over 17 years of experience at the forefront of Indian journalism, Aditya Raj Kaul is Senior Executive Editor at NDTV, leading coverage of Geopolitics, National Security and Strategic Affairs. He anchors a prime-time show on NDTV daily, bringing authoritative analysis on foreign policy and national security to millions of viewers. He is widely regarded as one of India's foremost experts on Jammu & Kashmir and Pakistan.
His reportage has covered defining global events including India's Operation Sindoor, the US/Israel-Iran conflict, the SCO Summit in China, and Nepal unrest in recent times and taken him to conflict zones across Iraq, Israel, Palestine, Siachen, Eastern Ladakh, and the Maoist-affected Bastar corridor. A US State Department ACYPL Fellow (2020) and Bucerius Summer School Fellow, Germany (2023), he received the Ram Jethmalani Journalism Prize in Service to Humanity in 2023 and has earned over 20 awards for his reportage and documentaries. At 17, he was named among India's Top 25 Youth Icons by India Today magazine in 2007.
He holds a postgraduate degree in Journalism from Xavier Institute of Communications, Mumbai, a degree in Political Science from Ramjas College, Delhi University, and was invited to a Business Management Programme for Media Industry at IIM Bangalore. He has been regularly invited by IIM Ahmedabad, India's Ministry of External Affairs, Indian Army, BSF, Coast Guard and CRPF as a Guest Faculty. Kaul is originally from Jammu & Kashmir.
