The Churu Lok Sabha constituency consists of eight assembly segments. These are Sadulpur, Taranagar, Sardarshahar, Churu, Ratangarh, Sujangarh, Nohar and Bhadra

The Churu constituency is one of the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in Rajasthan.

Churu Lok Sabha constituency went to polls on May 6 in the fifth phase of 2019 General Election. The poll results will be released on May 23.

BJP MP Rahul Kaswan is the sitting parliamentarian from the seat. He will contest for the seat this time as well. Rahul Kaswan has represented the constituency one's as a BJP candidate. In 2014 he had defeated BSP fielded Abhinesh Maharshi with an overall margin of 2,94,739 votes.

In 2014 General elections, the polling percentage was 64.54 %.

BJP's Rahul Kaswan received 5,95,756 votes and BSP candidate Abhinesh Maharshi received 3,01,017 votes.

He is the member of the standing committee in the ministry of transport, tourism and culture. He is also the member of Hindi consultative committee for ministry of finance, department of economical worker and financial service. he is also the member of the national board of micro, small and medium enterprises.

A total of twelve candidates are in fray for the seat this time, among which are six independent candidates.

In 2009, BJP's Ram Singh Kaswan defeated INC candidate Rafique Mandelia with a overall margin of 12, 440 votes.

Among key contestants are Rafique Mandelia from INC, Hari Singh from BSP and Balwan Poonia from CPI(M).
