The NEET PG 2026 result indicating the raw scores obtained by the candidates and their NEET PG 2026 rank have been declared. Applicants can check their scores from the NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in. 

It is important to note that the NEET PG 2026 scorecards will be available for download only for a period of six months.

The medical board has also stated that it will release the NEET PG 2026 answer key on its official portal after October 1, 2026. Applicants will be able to access the Question ID numbers, correct answer key IDs, response IDs marked, and the allotted score through his/her individual applicant login.

The NBEMS stated that every question asked in the NEET PG 2026 exam was reviewed by faculty members from the concerned specialty area after the conduct of NEET PG exam to re-check for technical correctness of the questions as well as answer keys. None of the questions have been found technically incorrect, the medical board added. 

According to the official announcement, the individual scorecard of the candidates who appeared for the NEET PG 2026 can be downloaded from the NBEMS website, natboard.edu.in, on or after October 1, 2026.

Several media reports and users on social media platforms have claimed that the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences is set to declare the NEET PG 2026 result today. However, candidates must wait for an official confirmation as the NBEMS has not made any official announcement as of now.  

As per official exam notification, the medical board will publish the NEET PG 2026 answer key PDF and response sheet before the declaration of final scores.

A total of 2,65,980 candidates appeared for the NEET PG 2026 examination, according to an official update.

The Supreme Court on September 3 dismissed a PIL that sought to re-conduct the NEET PG 2026 exam, as it pulled up and imposed a cost on the petitioner and the advocate for filing such a petition, according to a report by the Press Trust of India (PTI).

A bench of Justices PS Narasimha and Alok Aradhe said it will ask the Bar Council of India to take action against the lawyer for misuse of the process of law.

The petitioner sought re-examination for all students, alleging there was a violation of a May 2025 order wherein the court mandated that the NEET-PG be conducted in a single shift.

The bench imposed the cost of Rs 25,000 on the petitioner.

The lawyer contended that around 2,500 candidates could not complete their exams in Jaipur due to an internal power outage, and the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences conducted a second exam for these candidates on September 5.

Justice Aradhe inquired whether the petitioners filing the PIL intended to take the exam, to which the counsel said no.

The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a national level examination for the award of scholarship to qualified candidates seeking entry to the Master of Pharmacy (M Pharm) course.

A user on X shared a screenshot of an incident where the medical board has sent emails to NEET PG candidates who appeared for the August 30 examination, apprising them of successful Aadhaar authentication for the “September 5” retest. 

Replying to the social media post, the NBEMS clarified that "in emails sent to a group of candidates who appeared in NEET PG 2026 on August 30, 2026, the date of examination has inadvertently been mentioned as September 5, 2026, in the opening line of the email, though the date and time of Aadhaar authentication mentioned below in the said email is correct."

"Error in the email sent is regretted," the medical board added.

As per UIDAI requirements, email communication is being sent to NEET-PG 2026 candidates confirming successful Aadhaar authentication on the day of the examination.

The NEET PG 2026 examination centres were placed under live CCTV surveillance, which was continuously monitored from the NBEMS Command Centre at its Headquarters in Dwarka. A dedicated team of 190 personnel from NBEMS and TCS was deployed for real-time surveillance and monitoring, according to the medical board.

Prabhat Kumar Yadav, a resident of Devakipur village in Jaunpur's Machhlishahr tehsil, secured an MBBS seat at King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, after scoring 627 marks and securing an All India Rank of 3,864 in NEET UG 2026. His achievement has brought joy to his family and village, especially to his father, who has spent nearly 25 years working as an auto-rickshaw driver in Mumbai.

The National Board of  Examinations in Medical Sciences on Tuesday announced a reduction in qualifying percentile of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Super Speciality (SS) 2025 exam. As per the official marking scheme, candidates will be awarded four marks for every correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

The NEET PG 2026 examination was scheduled for 2,73,096 candidates at 1,111 examination centres across 339 cities, covering all 36 States and Union Territories. A total of 2,65,980 candidates appeared for the examination, with the examination successfully completed for approximately 2,63,535 candidates.

On August 30, the Press Information Bureau's Fact Check unit rejected social media claims that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Postgraduate (PG) question paper was leaked in Jaipur, calling the allegation misleading. The post said that there was no paper leak in the examination.

Candidates whose names will be included in the NEET PG 2026 merit list will be eligible for the NEET Postgraduate counselling process.

Once the provisional answer key and response sheet are released, candidates will be able to calculate their probable scores using the NEET PG marking scheme. Candidates can use the following rules to calculate their raw scores:

• For each correct response: 4 marks
• For incorrect answer: -1 mark
• Unattempted question: Zero

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences constituted a three-member committee under the chairpersonship of Gayatri Rathore, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department of the Rajasthan government, to investigate the internal power supply failure that disrupted the NEET PG 2026 examination at the iON Digital Zone iDZ Sitapura centres in Jaipur, Rajasthan, according to a report by ANI citing NBEMS sources.

Issuing clarification on the issue, the medical board stated that the requirement of NOC is in continuation of the practice followed in previous years and was not introduced for the first time. 

Debunking some media reports on the requirement of NOC, the medical board stated that the NEET PG candidates were clearly informed that the NOC was a mandatory document required to be submitted at the time of registration.

Speaking about the arrangements, a candidate, Dr Mihir Singh, said, "Regarding the exam preparation, I would say it was good. The preparation was solid last time also. But the management of the exam itself was terrible. The government really needs to pay attention to these things. They did not really have adequate arrangements in place beforehand. We faced a lot of difficulties there, and hopefully, the exam will be conducted properly."

The NEET PG 2026 examination comprised of 180 multiple choice questions with each question having four options. Time allotted for the examination was 3 hours 30 minutes.

Candidates who achieve scores above the minimum cutoff will be considered qualified. NBEMS will also release a NEET PG merit list along with the cut-off list.

A total of 2,527 faculty members were appointed as Independent Appraisers to oversee the conduct of the examination. In addition, more than 700 senior faculty members, including Deans, Directors, Medical Superintendents and senior professors, were deployed as Flying Squad members.
