Who can be most adept at handling Foreign Affairs?

With the UPA all set for a second term at the Centre, the corridors of power and the media are abuzz with wide speculations about Cabinet hopefuls. Who'll be the next Finance Minister, the next Home Minister and so on.

With this year's election results allowing for an interesting choice of MPs - both old and young, it will be much easier for Manmohan Singh to shape his Cabinet.

External Affairs: Pranab Mukherjee may continue but Shashi Tharoor stands a good chance. Given his hands-on experience in international affairs and administration, it is only natural to expect Tharoor to be a chief candidate for the post of external affairs minister. However, there are reports Mukherjee is not keen to serve a second term as foreign minister.

Mr.Shashi Tharoor is the most qualified person for the post. Actually, what India needs is more and more enlighted people to step forward and Mr.Obama has been a tremendous inspiration for so many. Thank God for the voters at Trivandrum. Let this be a new presidence all the way through.

Though I voted for Shashi Tharoor, I think Rahul Gandhi could be groomed for the job. He has matured as a good politician. Is presentable , young and will need the exposure in world affairs when he takes up the reins in 2014 !
