| If media reports are to be believed, the attacks on Indians in Aus have more to do with attitude than race. Some of the Indian students are said to be loud, rude and boisterous. Some of them have been accused of ogling at women and passing comments. Our students need a crash course on how to conduct themselves in foreign lands and only then they should be allowed to go abroad. Staying in the campus of study must be made compulsory. If this is done, late night travel and that too to shady suburbs will become unnecessary. |

| A disturbed and selfish mind cannot be happy in heaven of heavens, what to speak of this miserable world. It is sad that people think that going to a foreign land will make their lives magical. The scriptures guarantee that miseries are like a shadow that we just cannot shake off... we may cheat ourselves and others by saying that I am happy... but that is factually a lie. We simply change the nature of miseries that we undergo when we change our situation but we cannot become free of them totally. This is the nature of this world. We suffer because of the maladies of our own body and mind. We have to suffer because of other living entities like bugs, mosquitoes, difficult people, wife, children, friends, relatives, boss, criminals, terrorists etc etc... and there is miseries due to natural calamities. Nobody in this material world can claim to be free of these myseries. If one claims so then he has to be Godly!!! A saintly person who has given up Anger, Ego, Greed and Selfishness alone can be happy. All others who claim to be happy do not know what it is to be happy. The ways to achieve Happiness and achieve lasting peace has been explained lucidly in the BhagavadGita by Krishna. Please try to read vedic scriptures and have a disease free mind. His books by His divine grace Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada has made lives of thousands of people sublime. Then you will expereince peace and happiness in any land and in all times. Hare Krishna. |
