Commotion in Lok Sabha over 26/11
NDTV Correspondent, Thursday November 26, 2009, New Delhi
There was commotion in the Lok Sabha on Thursday, the first anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee accused the Opposition of politicising 26/11, after BJP leader L K Advani said the government's relief efforts were not enough.

"The Home Minister has failed to coordinate relief after the attacks," Advani said, adding, "The Government is yet to compensate all the attack victims."

The commotion started with Mukherjee getting upset over Advani's speech.

The Speaker tried to calm the House down, saying, "Let us not raise issues in such a manner on this tragic day."

Earlier, the MPs observed a 2-minute silence joining the rest of India in remembering the victims of 26/11.

I am surprised not seeing many comments for this. If somebody asks questions, people in high authority always feel it as an insult. If nothing is asked, the opposite party is termed ineffective. Where would this end. Getting compensation for victims of a high profile notorious incident like this is so arduous, whoelse will get then. Bad political system, lots of non-sense procedures, but when it comes to purchase of weapons vehicles or giving z security for politicians it happens in next minute. Media is all along doing flattering service, people are so nice to these politicians electing them for a plate of Briyani and one fake 500 rupees note. Hail Electronic Victory Machines, Congress Bureau of Investigation, these agents are inactive in saving Bhopal Victims, 1984 riots, but frank support to Quatrochi, Corrupt officials who are autiding purchase of weapons, bullet proof jackets. Soon our system will allow other treachorous neighbours to swallos us.

What have these politicians done after this incident for securing the lives of the people ???? They only worried to make advantage of their own and of their parties.... and to throw dirt on each other nothing other than tht....They are worried abt the language tht shd be talked in the states and other foolish things.. The time to take extreme steps has come why r we becoming so soft to t terrorists and the people who are supporting them ???Can any one pls tell me why 31 crore Rs has been spend on Kasab for keeping him alive??? What kind of trial is being done for him??? I would like to pay tribute to all those who lost their life ...Our prayers are with their relatives.
