Chidambaram: I'd be a foolish man to leak it

Speaking in Parliament, Home Minister P Chidambaram offered his reassurance that the government has promised to table the Liberhan report in this winter session of parliament. He added, "It is unfortunate that a newspaper has published" what are the purported contents of the reports.

Chidambaram said, "I refrain from commenting on the correctness of the article. I must be a very foolish man to leak it and embarrass myself," Chidambaram said in the Rajya Sabha, asserting that there is only copy of the report with the government, and that nobody from his ministry has spoken to the press about the report's contents."

Now that honerable home minister has confirmed that the content of the report wasn't leaked to the press, the news paper should clarify its reference to the source from the home ministry. - Amith Chikkabilathi, Indianapolis, USA
