Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam made strong arguments in the Arthur Road Jail special court on Tuesday demanding death sentence for Ajmal Kasab on the grounds of the "cold-bloodedness and motivation" of Kasab.

In arguments a day after Kasab was pronounced guilty by Special Judge M L Tahaliyani, the prosecution said in court," He is a killing machine created in Pakistan."

Seeking death for the Pakistani terrorist, Nikam said Kasab wanted to inspire others to take part in fidayeen or suicide attacks.

"Photographs of Kasab in action while firing at CST's passengers and shopkeepers showed that "he enjoyed the acts of murder," said Nikam.

Nikam's arguments came a day after Kasab was declared guilty of waging war against the nation, murder of many and acts of terror.

The Prosecution argued:

  • 26/11 was meticulously planned and motivated
  • Police personnel and defenceless victims were mercilessly butchered
  • Kasab saw the thin crowd at CST, was disappointed he couldn't kill more
  • Kasab enjoyed the act of killing and seeing his victims in pain
