A newspaper says UEFA has informed Russian officials that it suspects several domestic league games have been affected by match-fixing this season.

Vremya Novostei on Wednesday cited a letter it said UEFA sent to the Russian Football Union alleging suspect betting patterns on six matches.

The clubs involved allegedly include Krylya Sovietov, Terek Grozny, pata Nlcik Tm omk ndAmarPem ro te reie Leaue, and four clubs from the first division.

Russian officials reportedly dismissed the correspondence as a routine affair, saying the suspect betting patterns are determined through an automatic analysis and therefore open to fault.

RFU executive director Alexei Sorokin said an investigation was under way nonetheless.
