Verdict welcomed by family of cop who caught Kasab
Press Trust of India, Monday May 3, 2010, Mumbai
216KASABnewstory_pic.jpgThe family of slain assistant police sub-inspector Tukaram Ombale, who caught Pakistani terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab alive during the 26/11 terror attacks, expressed satisfaction with the gunman's conviction, but demanded that he should be given death penalty.

"It is good to hear that Kasab was found guilty. We were eagerly awaiting this since morning. He should be given death penalty then only, I think, my father's sacrifice will have actual value," an emotional Vaishali Ombale, 23-year-old daughter of the policeman said.

Tukaram's cousin brother Namdeo Ombale said, "I knew that Kasab would be convicted as he was clearly seen killing people on the night of terror attacks. Tomorrow's day would be very crucial for us as the quantum of punishment in the case against Kasab would be decided and we want the court to give him death penalty."

Unarmed Ombale was shot dead by an AK-47-wielding Kasab at Girgaum Chowpatty in south Mumbai, but not before he ensured that the terrorist was caught alive.

Pls hang him and show to world that who ever becomes terrorist will end like this . We need to remove all unwanted and demons by giving death penalty .If Kasab is not hanged then our government is surely impotent .

KASAB's lawayer have appealed life sentence as he is just 22yr old.I think,IF in this middle age of 22 he killed hundrerds.I cant even imagine what he would do to man_kind 10 years down the line.DEATH SENTENCE would be lesson all who became terrorist in their teennage.
