Pune schools re-open after swine flu break
NDTV Correspondent, Monday August 24, 2009, Pune

Schools in Pune are finally set to re-open after a two-week break. Schools had been closed as a precautionary measure to combat the spread of swine flu.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, seven ICSE schools in Pune had decided to extend swine flu break for another week. The schools will now open on August 31.

The schools extending the closure are: Bishops School (Camp, Undri, Kalyaninagar branches),
St Mary's School, St Helena's School, Hutchings High School and Primrose School.

This is being done to avoid spread of the virus among the students in city schools.
