Indian beaten up by mob in Australia
NDTV Correspondent, Tuesday January 12, 2010, Sydney

Another Indian has been attacked in Australia, this time in Sydney, and Foreign Secretary Nirupama Roy has said that India is taking these attacks seriously and that these incidents have shaken the confidence of the Indian community in Australia.

The latest victim is a 28-year-old man who was at Coogee beach in Sydney when he was reportedly attacked by a group of Australian-born boys and girls. Other people at the beach allegedly did not help him. The victim said he believed it was racial attack.

He called the police, who took 40 minutes to reach him. The attackers reportedly admitted that they had punched and kicked the Indian, who is a permanent resident of Australia and has lived there for 11 years. The police have arrested one of the attackers.

The victim is  being taken for an internal medical check-up and x-rays.  He complains of extreme pain in his back, neck and head.

Well I totally agree with all the comments what other Indians has given because its a obvious reaction when some other countries peoples are doing racist attack on Indian. I would only like to ASK to all Indian why they wont do it when in our own country the politicians are segregating the INDIANs based on language and states. Racist attack has done within a country by AN INDIAN to AN INDIAN. Now I would like to ask all the Indians that what would be their reactions on this. When we wont learn to be united how can we aspect from other country or other countries people to be united. They have learned from us only & they are implementing on us. Its a time to change or remove those people who are sitting on a very responsible position (as well as powerful position) in this country and just to continue have that power they are manipulating the mind (for vote) of poor people and trying to segregate Indians based on Racist remarks (Different States). So until an unless we wont live here as an Indian the other country wont understand the POWER OF INDIA AND POWER OF INDIANS. So its a appeal DONT FIGHT within one family(INDIAN family) then other people wont dare to mess with any INDIAN... CHAK DE INDIA...
