A day after reports claimed that two more Indians were attacked in Melbourne, Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said on Wednesday that no attack was acceptable to the government.

On Tuesday, two more attacks were reported against Indians in Melbourne . While a student from Hyderabad was mugged, an Indian taxi driver was attacked by passengers.

And in the backdrop of the continuing attacks, a new survey has said that 85 per cent Australians feel that racial discrimination is rampant in the country with one in five of them being a victim of verbal abuse.

Meanwhile, India has asked Australia to set up some kind of regulatory mechanism to keep an eye on agents of universities whom students contact and ensure proper wage for students who does part-time jobs there.

RACIAL ATTACKS ON INDIAN STUDENTS IN AUSTRALIA. Tha prime Minister of Australia shd condemn all types of attacks on Indian Students in Australia. He shd take immediate steps to tighten the Security Measures in Melbourne and Cities in Victoria. Plain cloth Policemen shd be posted at vital points like Railway Stations, Shopping Malls, Outside the University campus and at localities populated by Indian students. Also those who have been booked for assault on Indian students, shd be given exemplary punishment which will act as deterrent for other Aus misguided youths.
