Twenty-five children from a slum in Pune were gathered around a balloon seller who was selling them Republic Day tricolour balloons.

The hydrogen cylinder he was using exploded. The children were rushed to hospital.  Most of them were discharged after receiving first aid. Four are still in hospital.  

The balloon seller was injured in the blast.
