Dharmendra Pradhan Resignation Live: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) called off its protest "with immediate effect" today and asked supporters at Delhi's Jantar Mantar to return home after the government agreed to all their demands. 

The announcement came in a joint press conference held by CJP spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka and Union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh this evening, following the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan as Union Education Minister. His resignation was the CJP's core demand.

The spokespersons said the government has assured them that the police cases filed against students would be withdrawn, with no action to be taken against them in future, and maximum compensation as per rules and regulations would be given to the families of students who died by suicide over the NEET paper leak.

Soon after announcing his resignation as Union Education Minister on Saturday, Dharmendra Pradhan updated his bio on social media platform X.

If one is to go to check his X profile currently, it describes Pradhan as "Member of Parliament, Sambalpur". He has removed the designation of "Union Minister of Education", hours after submitting his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Pradhan's X bio now says: "MP (LS), Sambalpur. Views personal. RTs not endorsement".

Dipke, the 30 year-old, who was diagnosed with typhoid Saturday morning, announced he "will take a nap" shortly after the Education Minister resigned Saturday afternoon.

"Going to take a nap. See you all in a little while," he posted on X.
