Bolt becomes ambassador-at-large of Jamaica
Associated Press, Friday November 13, 2009, Kingston, Jamaica

The world's fastest man has received another top honor in his Caribbean homeland.

Sprint superstar Usain Bolt was named an ambassador-at-large by Jamaica Prime Minister Bruce Golding during a ceremony in the capital, Kingston, on Thursday. He was also granted a diplomatic passport.

At 23, Bolt is the youngest person to receive the honor.

Last month, he received the Order of Jamaica. His homeland has also renamed a highway after the lanky Olympic and world 100 and 200-meter champion and record-holder.

Bolt said he will try his best "to live up to the high expectations."
