Baby found alive in box under sitter's bed

Investigators spent five days searching dense vines and marshes for a missing infant, only to find her lying quietly in a small cedar box hidden under her baby sitter's bed. Clothing was packed around it to muffle any sounds and baking powder placed inside to mask the stench of dirty diapers.

If you think a baby's shriek has no language, think again, for a new study says that toddlers cry in their mother tongue. Researchers in Germany have carried out the study and found that babies cry with regional accents copied from their mothers -- in fact they pick up the traits in womb, the 'Daily Mail' reported.

Spicy Indian curries could prevent swine flu and common cold just like any prescribed medicine available with the chemists, Russian doctors have said. "You can strengthen immunity by consuming spicy foods like curries, as spices like turmeric, ginger and zeera also posses excellent therapeutic effect," an unnamed official of Moscow city sanitary and anti-epidemics committee was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
