Pune's past links with terror

In 2008, a former Yahoo techie and alleged Indian Mujahideen co-founder was arrested from Pune.
 
He was radicalized at Quran Foundation, Pune and was connected to men recruited by Indian Mujahideen Head Riyaz Bhatkal.
 
He and another Indian Mujahideen member were accused of hacking into a US national's wireless network from Navi Mumbai and for sending emails with warnings about the Ahemadabad blasts.

Four days before the Delhi blasts they sent another email from Mumbai's Cheetah Camp area.
 
David Headley is said to have visited Pune's National Defence Academy in his visit to India. He had visited the Osho Ashram, which is close to German Bakery, in June 2008 and March 2009.
