Fresh flood warning issued for Vijayawada
NDTV Correspondent, Monday October 12, 2009, Vijayawada

Even as Kurnool is slowly struggling to get back to normal, a fresh flood warning has been issued for Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.

The warning has been issued due to forecast of heavy rains in Maharashtra and Karnataka in the next 24 hours.

There is a possibility of increase in water inflows to Prakasam barrage in Vijayawada. People in low-lying areas are being asked to move back again into relief camps.

The city was among the worst affected areas in the flood-hit sate. Even now, heaps of garbage are piled up and both sides of the road in most areas. With garbage still not cleared, fear of epidemic remains.

Many schools have extended the holidays by another week.

with the increase in pollution level and advancement what is the gain we are getting, unseasonal rainfalls, earth quakes and sea water levels are increasing and land space decreases and life becoming complicated further. with more population and global warming. first step to over come environmental disorders, for making pollution free environment. This is not the responsiblity of governing body its the resposibility of every individual, but governing body must make sure that people aware of this problem, i know no one will follow the enviromental rules. Then strict rules must be brought into act, A direct quesion to every individual how many times you are suffering from cold, caugh and head ache, breath related allergies all these are due to evnivronmental changes and pollution. every individual is spoiling the future of there child... change not with one individual but the change must be in groups, communities, regions, national, international change is required. In india pollution and population is worst effected when compared to europe, australia, america this kind of progression is not for development this is for disastor that an un digesting true... every individual must open there eyes to save your children life...
