Air India: Cockpit not unmanned during mid-air scuffle
NDTV Correspondent, Monday October 5, 2009, New Delhi

Air India has said that safety was never compromised during the mid-air scuffle episode. The airline has said that the cockpit was never unmanned.

The  committee, constituted by the Air India management to inquire into the
IC 884 incident, has concluded decisively that the cockpit was not left unmanned at any point of time during the flight phase.

The  enquiry  committee  came  to  this  conclusion after examining various witnesses including members of the flight crew.

regarding Air india issue, we should ban the pilots and the crew to work any airlines in the world, if you think this is not right, fly in any airlines as the same situation. Nowfal tamilnadu

The Commitee and its findings are farce and lacks credibility. The mere fact that scuffle had taken place mid air in complete public domain without any regard for sense of security and decency in public life by the officers of the Government of India are sufficient to highlight the serious crisis and lack of Governance of the Airlines. The constitution of inhouse Committees for conducting enquiries are only aimed at cover up and cooking up of calibrated response in public without any serious intent to mean business. The Government is not fit to do any business of commercial nature and shuld stop siphoning taxpayers money for these fatish public servents who have no regard for employers image and that of the nation.
