Dangal has been received with fulsome compliments and social media is still obsessing over it. Everyone loves, in this order, Aamir's transformation, actors Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra as his daughters Geeta and Babita, and the overall feel of the film. There's also an observation that's cropped up on the sidelines.
It involves the scooter Aamir's riding in the film. You gotta trust Twitter to find something and then joke about it Liam Neeson-style.
Social media seems to think that the secret to a superhit film these days is... a scooter. The fact that Bollywood's biggest stars have ridden scooters in some of their recent films hasn't escaped the Internet's attention: Salman Khan in
Sultan, Amitabh Bachchan in
Te3n, Shah Rukh Khan in
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (that's going back a bit) and now Aamir in
Dangal.
And even though we can't confirm if all these stars rode a Chetak in their films, people have turned stills from the movies into something of an endorsement for Bajaj scooters. You can hum the '
humara Bajaj' jingle now.
