On Left Handers Day, Sachin Tendulkar Leads Charge Of Lefties On Twitter

August 13 is celebrated internationally as Left Handers Day.

Are you a left handed-person? If your answer is yes, today is a day tailor-made for you. August 13 is celebrated internationally as Left Handers Day. According to Metro, the day was started by the Left Handers Club back in 1992 to raise awareness about the issues faced by left handers every day. If you are a leftie, you've probably struggled using scissors, sharpeners, the mouse of computers, and other devices meant for people with a dormant right hand. While special products meant for lefties are now available, there's still a long way to go. And this day, meant for lefties all over the world, will only help raise more awareness.

Twitter too is in celebration mode today. Lefties have been tweeting about #LeftHandersDay. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is among those who have tweeted about this special day.

"I may be left-handed ... but I'm always right," Sachin says on Twitter. Since being posted just a few hours ago, his tweet has collected 6,500 'likes' and more than 700 retweets.

Former cricketer Vinod Kambli also posted a tweet wishing his fellow left handers:
