Shilpa Shetty is currently enjoying a blissful trip to Uttarakhand's popular hill station, Kedarnath. The actress' rejuvenating trip has definitely reconnected her with nature. Shilpa has dropped a couple of videos on her Instagram Story, showing her having an amazing time in nature's lap. The first clip shows a beautiful garden with innumerable multi-hued blooming roses spread across. Sharing this video, Shilpa simply added the hashtag “Kedarnath diaries.” In the next video, we can see Shilpa surrounded by the picturesque snowcapped mountains. The actress pans the camera to record the whole view and concludes it with a glimpse of her. In this video, Shilpa added the hashtag “Bucket list.”

How to reach Kedarnath

Kedarnath is very well-connected to most of the important Uttarakhand towns. If you are planning to take a flight to reach Kedarnath, you must know that Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport is the closest. This airport is 283 kilometres away from Kedarnath and is well connected to the national capital with daily flights. After landing you can book a taxi from the airport to reach Gaurikund.

Rishikesh is the nearest railway station to Kedarnath. It is 216 kilometers away and buses are easily available from the railway station. Apart from these, you can always plan a road trip to Kedarnath. For the same, you need to hire a taxi or take a bus to Gaurikund and then trek for 16-odd km.

Things to do in Kedarnath

Kedarnath is the most remote of all the Chota Char Dham sites. You can visit Gandhi Sarovar, which is a small clear lake, also known as Chorabari Tal. Make sure you include Kalimath in your itinerary; a religious place located on the banks of the Saraswati River. Goddess Kali Temple is located in Kalimath. In addition, you can also visit Bhairav Temple, Gaurikund Temple and Shankaracharya Samadhi among others.

Best time to visit Kedarnath

April to June is the best time to visit this hill station. This is because the weather at this time is pleasant and the temperature usually ranges between 10 to 15 degrees Celsius.
