Three terrorists were killed in an overnight encounter with security forces in Tral area of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, army official said today.
The terrorists, from Hizbul Mujahideen, were holed up inside a house and were engaged in a gunbattle with security forces since last evening.
The terrorists have been identified as Aashiq Hussain Bhat, Mohd Issac Parray and Asif Ah Mir. Ashiq Hussain Bhat was involved in providing shelter to militants involved in Udhampur attack on a Border Security Force convoy last year.
Three AK-47 rifles were recovered from the men after the encounter. The search and sanitation operation are still in progress.
