New Delhi:

Badan Pe Sitare redux for Fanney Khan is arguably one of the best revamped version of an iconic song in the recent years. The trend of recreating old popular songs is rampant in the film industry but the reworked version of this Shammi Kapoor classic finds a legit position in the plot of Fanney Khan, which makes it outstanding. The makers of Fanney Khan released the song on social media three days before the film is slated to hit the screens. Badan Pe Sitare redux is picturised on Anil Kapoor, called Fanney Khan (also incorporated in the reworked lyrics). Anil Kapoor, dressed in a jazzy jacket performs Badan Pe Sitare at a local music competition and boy, he'll make you smile.

Without much ado, watch Fanney Khan Anil Kapoor perform Badan Pe Sitare:

Badan Pe Sitare 2.0 has been re-arranged by Amit Trivedi and sung by Sonu Nigam. The original composition was credited to composer duo Shankar-Jaikishan and singer Mohammed Rafi.

Fanney Khan is the story of a singer (Anil Kapoor), who failed to make a name for himself in the music industry, and he now wants his daughter Lata (played by Pihu Sand) to become an accomplished singer - a dream which Lata also cherishes but she has her own battles to fight. Fanney Khan also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Baby Singh, whom Anil Kapoor kidnaps to help his daughter realise her true potential. Rajkummar Rao plays Anil Kapoor's friend who helps him accomplish the seemingly impossible task.

Fanney Khan is directed Atul Manjrekar and it is expected to release on August 3.
