Tiruchirapalli:
A 14-year-old girl was killed on the spot and 11 others injured when the van in which they were traveling skidded off the road and fell into a pit at nearby Kattumavadi today.
Police said the mishap occurred when the van driver fell asleep as it approached a culvert.
All the injured persons, including the driver, have been hospitalised, police said.
