Weight loss can feel confusing, overwhelming, and honestly, a little exhausting with all the advice floating around. One day, it is about cutting carbs, the next it is about intense workouts, and somewhere in between, people just end up giving up. But sometimes, the simplest habits are the ones that actually stick and work.

That is exactly what content creator Riddhi Agarwal proves. Having lost an impressive 36 kg, she recently shared a no-nonsense list of five essentials on Instagram that helped her through her journey.

1. Walking

Riddhi called walking the most underrated form of exercise. She suggested 30–45 minutes a day, preferably outdoors. Add a weighted vest if you want to level up, or just plug into a good podcast and go.

2. Water

Drinking enough water sounds basic, but it makes a huge difference. The creator shared that having around 3 litres daily helped reduce her cravings and boosted her energy levels.

3. Protein

Protein plays a key role in staying full and building muscle. Riddhi Agarwal aimed for at least 100 grams a day. When you are full, you snack less. And more muscle means your body burns more calories even at rest.

4. Intentional Mornings

This one is more about mindset. The content creator suggested starting your day without your phone for the first 30 minutes. Instead, use that time to work out, pray, or just sit with your thoughts.

5. Fibre

Her rule was simple – three veggies a day. Fibre helps with digestion, keeps you full, and makes it easier for your body to process carbs. It also helps avoid those sudden hunger spikes that lead to overeating.

In a previous post, Riddhi Agarwal opened up about the mindset behind her transformation. She shared that her journey was not about being perfect, but about showing up even on hard days.

She said, “It's consistency on days I wanted to quit. It's choosing discipline when motivation disappeared. It's learning to respect my body instead of fighting it.”

The creator added, “This journey was never about looks. It was about health. It was about peace. It was about giving myself a chance to live fully.”

Sometimes, it is not about doing more – it is about doing the basics right, every single day.
