Thanks to Kartik Aaryan's poster release of his upcoming and seemingly most challenging role, Chandu Champion, we will never take our gym memberships for granted. The poster featuring the actor is has a rustic aesthetic with a very toned Kartik Aaryan running in just a loin cloth that reveals his chiselled physique. Kartik Aaryan is almost unrecognisable in his latest version. The sculpted abs and toned overall physique is the result of a dedicated workout routine and a diet for champions (Chandu in particular.) Based on the life of Murlikant Petkar, India's first Paralympic gold medalist in freestyle swimming, the film obviously required a lifestyle change to achieve the desired physique. The outcome of hard work is often sweet (even if Kartik Aaryan had to quit it in order to achieve his desired physique.

Wondering, how to achieve that envious physique? Some serious dedication towards fitness and diet. As per a report by the news agency IANS, Kartik Aaryan did more than just hit the gym for hours. In a bid to get into the skin of his Chandu Champion character, Kartik underwent boxing training for 14 months. He followed a rigorous workout regimen that helped him to shed some 20 kgs. On top of that, Kartik's chiselled physique is also an outcome of quitting sugar completely, as a part of his tailored diet.

Kartik Aaryan's social media timeline remained the one-stop destination for updates on his preparations. Earlier, Kartik dropped a video that hinted at his rigorous workout routine. In the clip, the actor can be seen exercising with two 50 kg dumbbells in each of his hands. While that was no cakewalk for any fitness enthusiast, Kartik asked his fans to watch an elderly woman behind him, working out. Sharing the video, he wrote, “Dadi on fire. Don't focus on me…but focus on the Champion behind me. Always working out in the gym and is a real inspiration for fitness and enthusiasm.

Kartik Aaryan's diet for Chandu Champion

Before this, Kartik Aaryan revealed that he left sugar for a year. The video showed the entire Chandu Champion team celebrating after the wrap. In the clip, Chandu Champion director Kabir Khan can be seen making Kartik eat his favourite Rasmalai. Along with the clip, Kartik wrote, “This Rasmalai Tasted Like Victory! Finally, eating sugar after a year!! After more than a year of intense preparation and 8 months of day-n-night shoots across the globe, today we complete the shooting journey of Chandu Champion. And it couldn't have been sweeter than my fav, Rasmalai - from the Man himself who carved this challenging path for me… you have been a profound inspiration, Sir!”
