Kanpur:
A person was detained for interrogation today for allegedly uploading an obscene MMS of his former wife on his Facebook account, police said today.
"The woman's father has complained that the MMS was made about two years ago when the man, a resident of Gwaltoli, went on a honeymoon with his wife and later uploaded the MMS on his Facebook account," Circle officer, Karnailganj police station, Onkar Singh Yadav said.
Five months after their marriage, the couple had obtained a divorce, he said.
The woman got to know about the MMS when her former husband sent friend requests to many of her relatives and they informed her about it following which the woman's father complained to the police yesterday, Yadav said.
"Some difference has been found in the MMS that is on the mobile phone of the man and the one which has been put on Facebook," he said.
Laptop and mobile phone of the man have been seized and he has been detained for interrogation, the Circle officer said. Further investigation is on, he added.
