Court verdict on plea seeking CBI probe on Farooq Abdullah today
Srinagar: An anti-corruption court is likely to give its order on Tuesday on an application seeking CBI probe into graft allegations against Union minister Farooq Abdullah.

The application was filed by the son of National Conference worker Syed Mohommad Yousuf, who allegedly died in police custody. His counsel argued that the CBI must investigate the allegations of corruption made by Abdul Salam Reshi following the death of the National Conference worker on September 30.

The death of Yousuf had sparked a major political row as another National Conference worker Abdul Salam Reshi had alleged the deceased had taken Rs 34 lakh from him and Rs 84 lakh from another party worker Mohammad Yousuf Bhat for getting them berths in the state legislative council.

The Supreme court on Monday issued notices to the Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir government on a petition seeking CBI probe into this custodial death.
