Patna:

A day after Lalu Yadav's blue-eyed boy and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) national general secretary Shyam Razak resigned from the party, the former Bihar chief minister received yet another jolt on Sunday with close confidante and senior party leader Ram Nihori Yadav resigning from the outfit.

"I have apprised the RJD leadership of my decision of resigning from the primary membership of the party. I don't want to remain associated with a party which has deviated from the principles of social justice," said Nihora, who was RJD's state general secretary and spokesman.

Claiming that the RJD had been reduced to "a party of sycophants," Nihora said he was feeling "suffocated" in the party under Lalu's leadership.

On switching over to the ruling JD(U), he said no decision has been taken as yet.

Meanwhile, according to sources Razak is likely to join JD(U) soon.

Hitting out at Lalu for RJD's humiliating defeat in the recent Lok Sabha elections in Bihar, Razak had said that the party would be "finished soon".
