Three arrested for alleged rapes in Gurgaon

Gurgaon: A policeman, a physiotherapist and an engineer were arrested in Gurgaon on Friday in connection with three separate rape cases in Gurgaon, police said.

Policeman Mange Ram, 45, a resident of Hisar, who was posted in Gurgaon, was arrested for allegedly raping his business partner's wife.

He had a dispute of Rs.7 lakh with his travel agency business partner. The business closed down two years ago.

The victim, 34, claimed that her two-year-old son's biological father was Mange Ram and that she was prepared for a DNA test of her son.

In another incident, 30-year-old physiotherapist Uday Yadav was arrested for allegedly raping a 33-year-old divorced woman after promising marriage to her.

The woman lives in Devender Vihar in Gurgaon.

"We have arrested the accused, who is married, for raping the victim from April 2 to 13," a police officer told IANS.

An engineer with a private firm, who lived in New Palam Vihar, was also arrested for raping a 23-year-old woman on the pretext of marriage.

The victim alleged that Rohit, 25, raped her several times over the last two years.

The three accused have been sent to jail under judicial custody, said police.
