The makers of Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Raksha Bandhan have released another song from its album and the soulful track seems to be the perfect fit for the film. The song Dhaagon Se Baandhaa gives us a glimpse into the bond shared by Akshay Kumar's character with his sisters. And, the wedding of one of the sisters serves as the perfect backdrop. The visuals that follow a non-linear storytelling format take us between a younger version of Akshay Kumar's character raising his sisters and the present wedding day ceremonies. The siblings cry, laugh and make memories in the video that is close to three minutes long.
The song has been composed by music director Himesh Reshammiya with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The soulful melody has been sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal.

Previously, Akshay Kumar had shared a special behind-the-scenes post with just one month left for the release of the film. In the caption, Akshay Kumar said, “A film celebrating the most special bond where there genuinely was a lot of bonding. Sharing a few special moments of this very special film, coming to a theatre near you in 1 month. Raksha Bandhan releasing on August 11 in cinemas.”
Director Aanand L Rai also shared an image with Akshay Kumar, recently. The candid photo features the director and actor deep in conversation with Aanand holding Akshay's hand. In the caption, he said, “There is only one thing more precious than our time and that's who we spend it on. 1 month to go, Akshay Kumar. Raksha Bandhan in theatres near you on August 11.”
Raksha Bandhan has been directed by Aanand L Rai, who has also produced it with Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma. Himanshu also serves as the writer on the film with Kanika Dhillon.
