No Salman Khan movie on Eid 2022. Well, that news is surely true but don't be disheartened as “Bollywood's Bhai” has a new trick up his sleeve this time. What? Ajay Devgn's Runway 34. Salman has “requested” Ajay Devgn to release his movie on Eid. Adding more drama to the news, Salman has himself dropped Runway 34's teaser on Instagram with a quirky caption. He wrote, "I don't have any film ready toh maine apne bhai Ajay Devgn se request ki hai if he can come on Eid, Eidi dene ke liye. Chalo iss Eid hum sab celebrate karenge aur dekhenge Runway 34 [I couldn't release any of my films on Eid this year, so I have requested my brother Ajay Devgn to come on Eid with the Eidi gift. We all will celebrate Eid and watch Runway 34]." Well, well, in Ajay Devgn's words “Bhai ki request, sar aankhon par.Runway 34 landing this Eid.”
The makers of Runway 34 will release the trailer on March 21. Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh are also part of the film, which is inspired by true events.
The teaser opens to two pilots, played by Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh, who are stuck in turbulence midair. As the camera pans left, we see a shocked Ajay Devgn as he says, "Humein koi aisa information nahi mila [We did not receive any such information]."Next, we have Amitabh Bachchan talking about gravity, "Jo cheez jitni tezi se upar jaati hai, utni hi tezi se neeche bhi aati hai [A thing that goes up with great speed, falls down with the same speed]." The film, which was earlier titled MayDay, is directed and produced by Ajay Devgn.
Runway 34 is believed to be on the lines of a 2015 incident involving a Doha to Kuwait Jet Airways flight that just managed to pass through bad weather.
Ajay Devgn was last seen in the Disney+ Hotstar series Rudra: The Edge of Darkness.
